Dear customers,

Version 3.5 of the Front Panel Designer is now available. Please order
your front panels from now on using the new version of the Front Panel
Designer. You can download this version from our website or with the
following link: http://www.schaeffer-ag.de/fileadmin/downloads/FPD350.EXE

The prices calculated by the Front Panel Designer Version 3.5 are valid
from October 15th 2007. These replace the calculations made by earlier
versions.

In this version we have first and foremost extended our product range of
components for the assembly of enclosures. You can find a selection of
side and enclosure profiles, enclosure corners and screws in the
ordering programme by selecting "Add items" from the "Insert" menu. We
also recommend taking a look at our revised Enclosure Assembly Manual.
You can find this directly on our website www.schaeffer-ag.de.

We have slightly revised our internet site. As regards front panels and
enclosures, you will now find relevant information directly on our home
page. Under company/ team we introduce ourselves to you with current
pictures.

This version does unfortunately not include any fundamental innovations.
Work is continuing on porting the Front Panel Designer to Mac OS and
Linux and we are using this opportunity to introduce a major revision of
the Front Panel Designer. A new element will be the so-called "free
contour". This will enable us to mill random contour shapes for your
thru-holes and panel shapes. We are confident that we will be able to
present you the new version next year. At the same time we have not lost
track of the Enclosure Designer and are working on its development.
